Extra Crispy Air-Fryer Fries (No-Oil)

Who doesn’t love french fries??? Well with an air-fryer you can make the crispiest fries with NO OIL! That means, they are virtually FAT FREE! Say what? Yes, and not only are they healthy, they are DELICIOUS! They are super easy and super yummy, and make any burger that much better!

Extra Crispy Air-Fryer Fries (No-Oil)

These EXTRA crispy fries are made with NO OIL but LOTS of flavor (you would never guess they were oil free)!! Made in just one bowl, they are super simple and SUPER delicious! These are definitely worth a try. Have them on their own as a snack, or with a nice juicy Black Bean Burger! (Oil-Free, GF and Vegan)

Equipment

  • Air-Fryer
  • Large Mixing Bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Large Russet Potato
  • 2 tsp Gluten Free All-Purpose Flour (Or regular if you aren't GF)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste

Instructions
 

  • Peel potatoes and cut into long thin strips, placing in a bowl of cold water as you go.
  • Preheat the air-fryer per instructions. (Mine pre-heats at 400 for 5 min)
  • Drain all the water from the bowl containing the potato strips.
  • Add ALL the spices and flour into the bowl and mix well!
  • Place in a single layer in the Air-Fryer. Fry on 390° for 15 minutes.
    Shake the fries after 10 minutes to help cook evenly.
  • Serve straight away with your favorite dips!

Notes

I made this recipe with 3 Large Russet Potatoes and I just tripled the ingredients and it worked brilliantly! 
Just remember if you do double or triple the recipe, you will probably have to do it in batches.  I usually do all the fries in batches and then throw ALL of them in together for a minute or two at the end just to warm and freshen up!

    I am delighted to have found your website and this recipe. I haven’t tried it yet (I’m aware of a Christmas present that will be instrumental in trying this out… đŸ˜€ ), but I’m looking forward to it. I love french fries and had been searching for air fryer french fries, and was astonished to discover that most people use oil with their air-fried french fries (“Wait a minute…what is going on, here?”). I could not, could not, find a recipe that didn’t use oil. Then I found your website looking for a pita bread recipe and was so happy to discover this one, as well. Yippee! I will come back and let you know how it works out for me. đŸ™‚
